Tasks:
- Efficiently allocate fitness equipment, staffing, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs across all gym locations.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to achieve organizational goals, including equipment maintenance and upgrades.
- Authorize and organize the establishment of key departments, including Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Member Services, along with senior management staff positions within the fitness facility chain.
- Oversee the development of departmental structures that enhance operational efficiency and member satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate the management operations of various gym locations to ensure seamless operations and consistent service quality.
- Implement and monitor operational processes and procedures to enhance collaboration between departments such as Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Member Services.
- Establish short-term and long-term objectives for the fitness facility chain, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision and growth plans.
- Formulate and approve policies and programs that drive organizational success and operational excellence, such as membership retention strategies and fitness programming.
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on its behalf, in negotiations with equipment suppliers, and other official functions to foster relationships and secure beneficial agreements.
- Act as the primary liaison with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Select, mentor, and develop middle managers, and other executive staff within the facility locations, delegating necessary authority to ensure effective leadership at all levels.
- Create and maintain optimum working conditions to promote high performance, staff retention, and a positive work environment.
- Lead the strategic development and expansion efforts of the gym chain, including the opening of new fitness centres in Squamish and Kelowna.
- Ensure the successful setup, launch, and smooth operation of new facilities, adhering to the company’s standards and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of all gym locations, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Utilize performance metrics and member feedback to drive improvements and achieve organizational goals.
