Retail Buyer Job

Key Responsibilities:
• Research and identify new product trends, themes, and designs in the gift industry.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source unique and high-quality products.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed buying decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize profitability.
• Create purchase orders, review product samples, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
• Monitor inventory levels, track product performance, and identify opportunities for reordering or discontinuing items.
• Evaluate and approve new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply.
• Stay updated on emerging gift trends, consumer preferences, and retail best practices.

• Completion of bachelor’s degree or college diploma
• Previous experience as a Buyer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
