SKILLS
Tasks:
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant, maintaining food quality, order accuracy and efficient service.
Develop and review budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen and cleaning supplies; monitor revenues and labour costs to maintain profitability.
Adjust food preparation methods and menu prices to meet budget targets, within franchise standards and approved pricing policies.
Recruit, train and supervise staff, assign duties and prepare work schedules based on customer demand.
Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and conduct performance reviews.
Balance cash, reconcile sales transactions and complete balance sheets, cash reports, deposit records and related forms.
Manage inventory, ordering, storage and stock rotation to maintain adequate supplies and minimize waste.
Negotiate pricing and delivery arrangements with approved suppliers within franchise purchasing policies.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace health and safety requirements.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure prompt, courteous service for dine-in and takeout customers.
Participate in local marketing plans and implement approved promotions to increase restaurant sales.
Negotiate and coordinate catering orders, group bookings, facility-use arrangements and restaurant events, where offered.
