Restaurant Manager Job

Housed in a heritage building in the heart of the financial district on Yonge and Temperance, Sud Forno Temperance offers two distinct dining experiences. Our restaurant, Osteria Di Geppetto, is a full service restaurant that features contemporary Italian cuisine that highlights the traditional essence of Terroni dishes. Our “Mensa”, an Italian cafeteria-style approach, offers options to grab-and-go or stay and dine-in. Pick up a tray and select from an assortment of hot or cold items featuring Italian pastries, pizza, fresh bread, including breakfast, lunch and dinner items that are long established favourites of Sud Forno.
At this time, we are seeking to hire an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee and direct the operations of our Sud Forno Temperance location.
In this position you will be responsible for the following:

- Direct, oversee and mange restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement operational procedures
- Effectively create and organizing staff schedules
- Lead the team in creating a culture of superior guest experience
- Conduct training and development as well as performance management and employee coaching
- Select and hire restaurant staff
- Control inventory, monitor financial transactions, and adjust procedures and pricing
Position Requirements:
- College diploma in food service administration, hotel, and restaurant management, or related discipline is an asset
- At least 3 years of experience in food service sector, including supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good English language skills
Compensation & Conditions:
- Permanent, full-time position
- $36.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
- 30 hours of work per week
