Job Description:
Discover Terroni Sterling, a unique Terroni-Spaccio hybrid which shares an address with our Spaccio West location at 128A Sterling Road. In line with the distinctive style of Gruppo Terroni sister establishments throughout the city, Terroni Sterling found its home in the historic T.A. Lytle factory, constructed in 1882 and meticulously restored to accommodate this newest addition to our family.
Our guests have the pleasure of enjoying the convenience of a grocer and café, with the added option of dining in a full-service Terroni establishment. Immersing themselves in all things Italian, diners can savor their meals amidst the grocer shelves brimming with imported pantry essentials and our exclusive Italian wines. They may also peek through the window into our commissary kitchen to witness our team of artisans crafting the pasta for their primi.
At this time, we are seeking to hire an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee and direct the operations of our Spaccio West location.
In this position you will be responsible for the following:
- Direct, oversee and mange restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement operational procedures
- Effectively create and organizing staff schedules
- Lead the team in creating a culture of superior guest experience
- Conduct training and development as well as performance management and employee coaching
- Select and hire restaurant staff
- Control inventory, monitor financial transactions, and adjust procedures and pricing
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Position Requirements:
- College diploma in food service administration, hotel, and restaurant management, or related discipline is an asset
- At least 3 years of experience in food service sector, including supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good English language skills
Compensation & Conditions:
- Permanent, full-time position
- $36.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
- 30 hours of work per week
