Sansotei is a Canadian brand specializing in authentic Tonkotsu Ramen taking our inspiration from the Kyushu and Hokkaido regions of Japan. We source the highest quality products and ingredients both locally and direct from Japanese suppliers. Sansotei was founded in Toronto in 2012, with our first location in the heart of the city. Since then, the passion and creativity that we bring to our craft has been well received by a broad clientèle, both critics and foodies alike. At Sansotei we strive to build a culture of hard work and dedication, and we are passionate about serving the best ramen, one bowl at a time. Today we have grown to serve locations across the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa region, Kitchener, Waterloo region and Montreal, with new outposts slated to open soon in other parts of Ontario, Quebec and nationwide.

Due to the busyness of our restaurant and growing operations of the Adelaide location in Toronto, Sansotei Ramen Adelaide is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join its team as a full-time permanent Manager. The ideal candidate will have understanding of Japanese cuisine, excellent service skills, exceptional managerial skills, and the ability to uphold the restaurant’s high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager will include the following:
● Manage, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
● Decide on the types of services to be offered and establish operational protocols.
● Hire staff and manage their training programs.
● Create staff schedules and track performance.
● Oversee inventory control, monitor financial performance, and adjust procedures and pricing as needed.
● Address customer concerns and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
● Negotiate with suppliers for food and other necessary supplies.
● Coordinate agreements with clients for catering services or facility rentals for events.

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and qualifications:
● Possess strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
● Be highly organized, with exceptional time management skills, and capable of multitasking effectively.
● Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges and ensure smooth operations.
● Have knowledge of health and safety standards, and technical understanding of POS systems.
● Have a strong knowledge of restaurant operations management and financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and performance monitoring.
● Be at least a college graduate.
● Have 3+ years of work experience in food services.
● Have 3+ years of managerial experience.
● Have a Food Handler certification
● Proficiency in a second language is an asset.

This is a full-time position with a fixed hourly wage of $36.00/hour based on a minimum 30-hour work week.
