Mon Petit Choux has been serving up delicious breakfast, lunch, and organic baked goods in beautiful downtown Nanaimo for 20 years.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and café.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and workplace safety requirements.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate restaurant staff.
• Monitor staff performance, prepare work schedules and allocate labour resources according to business needs.
• Manage food, beverage and operating supply inventories, coordinate purchasing and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs and operating expenses, and assist with budgeting and cost-control strategies.
• Plan and coordinate store promotions and conduct market research to identify customer preferences and local demand.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Provide leadership to front-of-house, kitchen and bakery staff to improve teamwork, productivity and overall restaurant performance.
Requirement:
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
• $ 38.4/hour
• 30-40 hours per week
