Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Restaurant Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our restaurant in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining efficient service, monitoring costs and revenues, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting a positive customer experience.

Job type: Full time (30-35 hours/week)
Hourly wage: $37.50/Hour

Education requirements: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
or equivalent experience
Work experience requirements: Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of work experience in a similar role at similar industry

Job responsibilities:
- Oversee, coordinate, and assess the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow.
- Prepare, review, and manage budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, cleaning materials, and other operating expenses.
- Monitor sales, revenues, expenses, and labour costs to support profitability and cost control.
- Adjust menu prices and food preparation methods based on budget requirements, operational costs, and customer demand.
- Decide the type of restaurant services to be offered and establish operational procedures for staff to follow.
- Create staff work schedules, assign duties, supervise employees, and monitor their performance.
- Train staff on restaurant procedures, customer service standards, food safety, and workplace policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation requirements, and applicable liquor laws.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of food, beverages, and materials.
- Negotiate with suppliers for food, beverages, equipment, and other restaurant supplies.
- Handle customer complaints, concerns, and service-related issues professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate catering requests, facility-use arrangements, and restaurant events as required.
