Position: Restaurant Manager
Term of Employment: Permanent, full-time
Salary: $39/hr
Hours: 40 hrs per week
Job duties:
•Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the overall operations of the restaurant;
•Oversee daily front-of-house, bar, takeout, catering, and customer service operations;
•Develop and implement operational procedures to improve service quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction;
•Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate restaurant staff and supervisors;
•Prepare employee work schedules and monitor labour utilization to ensure efficient operations;
•Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, liquor licensing, and workplace regulations;
•Address customer concerns and implement service recovery strategies when necessary;
•Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities with food, beverage, and supply vendors;
•Negotiate with suppliers and maintain effective business relationships with vendors and service providers;
•Monitor revenues, operational expenses, labour costs, and inventory costs to ensure profitability and budget compliance;
•Coordinate catering programs, special events, and live entertainment activities to support business development;
•Analyze business performance and implement strategies to increase sales, customer retention, and operational effectiveness.
Requirements:
•Completion of a college diploma in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, Leadership, or a related field is required;
•Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, including experience supervising staff and coordinating daily operations;
•Previous experience in a full-service restaurant, bar, catering, or hospitality environment is required;
•Strong leadership, team development, conflict resolution, and customer service skills;
•Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, labour scheduling, inventory, vendor relationships, and operational budgets;
•Knowledge of food safety regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and liquor service compliance;
•Valid Certification or ability to obtain certification prior to employment;
•Experience supporting catering programs, special events, or live entertainment operations is considered a strong asset.
