Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Restaurant Cashier to manage all transactions with our customers accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle cash transactions with precision. This role is vital in ensuring our customers have a smooth and enjoyable experience from the moment they enter our restaurant until they leave.
Responsibilities:
• Cash Register Operation: Operate the cash register efficiently to process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• Payment Processing: Scan items, tabulate total payments, and receive payment for goods or services.
• Daily Reconciliation: Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales to ensure accuracy.
• Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, accept reservations or take-out orders, and provide assistance with their inquiries.
• Suggestive Selling: Recommend additional products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stocking & Maintenance: Stock shelves, clean the counter area, and ensure the front-of-house area is well-maintained.
• Bagging & Wrapping: Wrap or place merchandise in bags with care and efficiency.
• Security & Monitoring: Monitor all entrances and exits, and request proof of payment when necessary to prevent loss.
• Promotional Participation: Engage in promotional activities as needed to boost sales and customer engagement.

Requirements:
• Experience is not required but is considered as an asset
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
