Respite Care Provider / Personal Care Assistant

Location:

De Pere, WI – In-home care

Pay:

$16.32 per hour

Schedule:

Approximately 9 hours per week

3 days per week, 3 hours per day

Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Days include Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Care Provider to assist with personal care for an adult individual in a home setting. Mom will always be present in the home to assist as needed and provide guidance.

This role is ideal for someone comfortable providing hands-on personal care and who values patience, dignity, and respect.

Responsibilities

Assist with showering/bathing

Help with getting ready for the day, including changing clothes

Provide toileting assistance

Feed a full meal (meal will be prepared by mom and ready; feeding may take up to 1 hour)

Assist with hydration (helping him drink water)

Provide safe transfers to and from wheelchair

Assist with light activities or engagement if time allows

Ensure comfort, safety, and respectful care at all times

Physical Requirements

Individual weighs approximately 190 lbs

Requires assistance transferring into a wheelchair

Is able to walk short distances with help

Qualifications

Experience with personal care, caregiving, or respite services preferred

Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility

Patient, dependable, and attentive

Ability to follow direction from a family member

Must treat the individual with kindness, dignity, and respect

Mom will be present and available during shifts
