The primary function of the Resident Service Coordinator (RCS) is to effectively identify and assist residents that need support in enhancing the quality of their daily lives, enabling them to more fully and successfully participate in the social, educational and/or economic mainstream. The position provides residents with information about and access to local services and resources that can assist them in pursuing opportunities and achieving life objectives. The resident service coordinator is an integral part of the housing and property team and plays a critical role in the overall positive maintenance of the property for the enjoyment of its residents and the respect of its neighbors. Providing affordable quality housing to low-income residents of Holyoke is essential to the mission of this organization.

Candidates for this position would ideally have a degree or experience in Social Work, Gerontology, Counseling or a related specialty. The ideal candidate will have experience with affordable housing and be bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities & Duties may include:

Provide referral services to residents needing assistance to maintain independence and promote self-sufficiency.
Create and maintain resident files, develop resource directory.
Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
Develop relationships with agencies and providers in the community.
Works with residents who have been identified with lease violations and in jeopardy of eviction.
In this small office environment, employees at all levels will be cross trained to support other personnel.
Plan, schedule, and host resident events and informational programs on a regular basis.
