Research Engineer Job

A Research Engineer is needed in LaGrange, Georgia.

• Apply chemical engineering principles and technical knowledge to develop, test, and optimize the composition of raw materials and chemical additives for efficient and cost-effective production.
• Monitor to maintain accurate mix ratios of raw materials and chemical additives in the production of pelletized polypropylene composites and thermoplastics, supplied primarily to automotive parts manufacturing clients.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging chemical engineering technologies and test new formulations to enhance product quality and reduce production costs.
• Diagnose and address chemical malfunctions during production, utilizing chemical engineering expertise to implement corrective measures.
• Perform equipment and product validation tests to ensure compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
• Continuously monitor production processes to ensure safe handling and application of chemical compounds, adhering strictly to state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols and manuals for managing raw materials and potentially hazardous chemical compounds.
• Conduct regulatory compliance checks, troubleshoot manufacturing processes, and analyze laboratory and malfunction data to identify root causes of issues and develop engineering solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or related field of study and 3 years of experience.
