Job Description:
CordenPharma is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Assistant to support our payroll operations and internal teams. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, accurate, and comfortable handling confidential payroll data in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with processing payroll accurately and on schedule for employees and contractors
• Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy and compliance
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries via email, chat, or phone in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in company systems
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations
• Assist with payroll reports, reconciliations, and audits as needed
• Escalate complex payroll discrepancies to the appropriate department
• Follow established payroll procedures and confidentiality standards
• Meet payroll deadlines and accuracy benchmarks
• Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding payroll issues or trends
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous payroll, accounting, or administrative experience is an advantage, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
• Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, payroll or HR systems)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
