Job Description:
Maintaining customers' prescription records
Creating and applying labels for medications
Handling customers' questions and concerns
Counting and packaging medications into bottles
Assisting the pharmacist with other tasks as needed
Taking inventory of medications available in the pharmacy
Keeping the pharmacy clean, organized, and well-stocked
Contacting insurance providers to correct coverage issues
Running a cash register and ringing up customers' purchases
Seeking health care providers' authorization for prescription refills
Assisting with basic medical procedures like administering vaccines, depending on their state

Job Requirements:
• Assist pharmacists to maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
• Assess prescriptions for completeness and ensure information is accurate
• Gather and enter client information in databases and prepare medications for clients in collaboration with pharmacists
• Process payment of prescriptions and other pharmacy services including direct billing to third party insurers
• Provide instructions on how to use health aids, and medical devices such as drug administration devices and monitoring devices
• May help with scheduling and workflow.
• Taking note of all relevant medical details and prescription information
• Filling the prescription for the Pharmacist to verify
• Counting and categorizing pills
• Verifying inventory counts with the Pharmacist
• Providing patient care and customer service
• Billing all medications accordingly
• Preparing ingredients for the production of compound solutions, creams, or ointments
• Ensuring that all patients receive the proper tools to take their medications (e.g. syringes, droppers)
other duties will be directed to you as required.
Must be Licensed in Ontario
