Job Description:
RepairUs Commercial Refrigeration Services is a licensed (313A) commercial refrigeration company in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and a leader in the cooling industry. With over 20 years of experience, we have become known for our lightning-fast customer service, high-quality craftsmanship, and innovative solutions for all your refrigeration and AC needs (commercial refrigeration installation, repair, maintenance and servicing).
Our company currently has 3 openings for 313A Refrigerating Service Technicians (Apprentices) to join our team servicing the GTA area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Response to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and repairs of refrigeration equipment and cooling systems
• Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects
• Perform repairs of major commercial refrigeration appliances, such as walk-in freezers, coolers, freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and more
• Replace defective parts/ components
• Ensure the cooling system is functioning properly following the repairs
• Carry out preventive maintenance within our customer base
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of training courses or a vocational program in refrigeration / air conditioning repair is preferred
• Over 5 years of experience in a similar position, servicing industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment
• ODP (Ozone Depletion Prevention) certificate
• Valid driver’s license
• Gas Fitter G2 license is an asset
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to adapt to industry changes
• Ability to lift 50lbs and occasionally maneuver up to 250 lbs
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Permanent, full-time position
• $37.00 hourly for of 35 hours work week
• Occasional overtime may be required with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
• Location of business: 136 Royal Ridge Cres., Maple, Ontario, L6A 2S5
• Location of work: Clients’ sites
