Join the Real Property/Housing attorney team in the Placer County Counsel’s Office. This team handles cutting edge and innovative negotiations and transactions and programs to support the growth, development and core infrastructure needs occurring in Placer County.

It is intended that the successful candidates for this position will be assigned to a team handling complex transactions such as purchase and sale agreements, commercial real estate leases and licenses, multi-jurisdictional use or operations negotiations and agreements, and grant applications. The team also advises on affordable housing financing and programs.

Notable current work involves the Sunset Area Plan with the 2,000 acre Placer One Specific Plan, a residential and commercial development that includes a new proposed California State University campus and new Sierra College facilities; the Placer Commerce Center, a major master planned business park that is attracting national attention and the future location of the Placer Parkway, a 15 mile long expressway that will connect State Route 65 to State Route 70/99.

For this position, we prefer 4-6 years of legal experience in the areas of affordable housing entitlement processes, affordable housing loan and financing programs and transactions, construction loans, tax credit financing, real property acquisition, and leasing and licenses. Experience in the following is a plus: CDBG, Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities, First Time Homebuyer Assistance, Surplus Land Act.
