RAT Supervisor Job

Umbrella Property Services provides quality window cleaning, gutter cleaning and pressure washing for Metro Vancouver.

We are seeking an experienced Rope Access Technician (RAT) Supervisor to join the team.

This is a permanent, full-time position; 40 hours per week; $37.50 per hour. Plus $850 in health benefits spending after the probationary period.

Duties:
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of rope access technicians and crew members across multiple job sites.
- Assign duties and ensure work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality control and compliance with client requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and plan rope access methods, work sequencing, and crew deployment.
- Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and new hires.
- Enforce compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, fall protection standards, and company safety policies.
- Oversee the proper use, inspection, and maintenance of rope access systems, tools, and safety equipment.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and workforce logistics to meet project timelines and operational needs.
- Maintain work records, safety reports, and job documentation.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and management regarding project progress, site conditions, and any issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex technical or safety challenges on-site.
- Perform rope access work at heights when required to support operations or demonstrate techniques to crew members.

Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Rope Access Technician or in a related trade.
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading rope access or high-angle work crews.
- SPRAT or IRATA certification (Level 2 or higher) are assets.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- First Aid and Fall Protection certifications are assets.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, fall protection standards, and rope access procedures.
- Ability to plan work at heights and supervise crews in high-risk environments.
- English language ability is required.
