Position Title: R1 Industrialization Manager
Location: 18831 Carters Circle, Elkmont, AL 35620
Position Responsibilities: Direct the development of manufacturing processes, creation of machines specifications, management of equipment suppliers, validation of equipment and processes, equipment layouts and engineering. Provide input on product design/redesign and overall production process improvements. For new products, propose processes and equipment according to global lean manufacturing rules to achieve customer satisfaction and develops equipment with suppliers. Approve modifications of standards for manufacturing of existing products and approves standards for new products. Lead validations for these modifications. Work with the global industrialization teams as well as local manufacturing team to develop layouts for manufacturing floor and workstations for new products or for relevant process and or product changes as required & according to global lean manufacturing rules. Work with the team to develop production times for new products or process modifications. Improve processes in quality and cost according to the best standards globally where applicable. Incorporate Lean Manufacturing principles into the overall design and development of both processes as well as capital assets as appropriate. Provide leadership, guides, and directs the activities of industrialization support team members. Conduct reviews, addresses employee concerns within team, and provides and organizes training as needed.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, or a related field, PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Plastic Welding Technologies (Ultrasonic, Vibration, Laser, Hot Plate); Metal Welding Technologies (Resistance, Ultrasonic, Laser); IATF; ISO14001; Core Tools; Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex); PLC Programming; CAD Design (Solidworks, AutoCAD); 6-Axis Robots; Electronics; Pneumatic Systems; Electric Testing, and; Leakage Testing. Supervise three (3) subordinate employees.
