R&D Engineer Job

R&D Engineer: Responsible for finding new camera technologies, testing it for performance and compatibility, and guiding implementation team on installing it for customers. Work with modern security cameras and networking equipment. Interface with camera installation contractors who will carry out physical installations based on plans. Perform the following duties: Camera Research-Find new camera technologies which are compatible with our software solution; Equipment Testing-Set up camera and network equipment and test them for their performance and compatibility; Implementation Documentation-Create comprehensive guides on how to set up camera and network equipment at a parking lot to enable the SpotGenius service; and Equipment Maintenance- Troubleshoot our deployed solutions when issues arise, both on-site and remotely.

Requirements – Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, computer science, data science or related field and 6 months of work, internship or research experience in the job offered or with data science and AI. Special skills – Experience with project management and working with a startup. Hybrid role-telecommuting permitted 2 days/wk with mandatory in-office days 3 days/wk.
