Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appeals and prepare for hearings and trials, under the direction of one or more Attorneys in Criminal Defense, Federal Law & Personal Injury (PI) law firm. Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories and testimony. Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research using West Law, Lexis/Nexis and other legal research tools and techniques. Locate and develop case relevant information. Draft discovery responses and coordinate changes/final assembly with legal assistants; propound discovery on other party; and ensure proper service of responses and requests for discovery. Prepare or oversee/coordinate legal assistants in preparation of trial binders/notebooks. Prepare or review/revise PI demand packages. Research and identify experts and coordinate with legal assistants to locate and retain for specific cases. Ensure all legal pleadings, trial binders/notebooks and filings comply with applicable court electronic filing requirement and Federal and State Rules of civil Procedure. Draft and respond to correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, medical providers, insurance carriers and experts. Assist with managing attorney's hearings, trial and deadlines calendar; schedule depositions and ensure deponents are properly served; and manage own appointments and deadlines calendar. Assist attorney in preparing clients for hearings, trials and depositions. Track and record billable time on all cases using timekeeping software.

Associate’s Degree in legal support studies, criminology, psychology, or related law/legal discipline 24 months of experience in job offered or related law firm, research, admin. support occupation.
