QUALITY INSPECTOR
Job description:
The Quality Supervisor will act as a liaison between our engineering department and Quality team in order to implement process improvement.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
• Develop quality metrics to guide production in continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of how to Inspect hand soldered components, as well as surface mounted PCB components.
• Knowledge in identifying tombstoning, solder bridging, cold solder, misalignment, voids and pits using an x-ray machine.
• Tracking and improvement of quality KPI's (FYP, Defects, Scraps)
• Familiar with ITAR and IPC Standards
• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Lead and train the SMT production team as required by providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
• Customer satisfaction through continuously analyzing customer complaints (generate 8D to find root cause and implement corrective actions).
• Develop and maintain the 5's standards. Keep the areas clean and tidy.
• Coordinate with Quality Inspectors to assure correct Quality at process and product.
• Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
• Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Education and experience requirements:
• Experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing field (Required)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Systems
• Minimum 2 Years experience in Supervisory Role (Required)
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in electronic assembly (a plus)
