Job Duties:
• Understand project requirements and goals and use that understanding to produce required deliverables.
• Review functional and design specifications to ensure a complete understanding of system testing requirements.
• Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.
• Write test cases and test scripts and participate in test automation and execution activities.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics, including defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate software processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate test plan reviews and use case meetings with development teams and key stakeholders.
• Provide demonstrations of fully tested features to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Integrate evaluation findings and improvements into business processes to address business needs.
• Document identified problems and assist with their resolution.
• Deliver quality process training to technical staff and serve as an internal quality consultant.
• Perform quality audits across IT functions to ensure established quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are followed.
• Participate in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders as necessary.
• Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application to the project and team.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of seven (7) years of IT and business experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Quality Assurance technical experience, including systems development, testing, and/or business experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of audit, assessment, or other relevant experience.
• Experience with database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments, including designing and manipulating test data and validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers, and replication.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into comprehensive test plans.
• Experience and knowledge of the technical aspects of software solutions being tested.
• Strong understanding of business processes and their relationship to system functionality and testing requirements.
Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
