Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to the following:
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of interior automotive plastic components to ensure compliance with customer specifications, dimensional tolerances, and surface quality standards.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and non-conformances, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence (CAPA).
• Utilize measurement tools, gauges, and ERP/SAP systems to record inspection data, generate QC reports, and monitor quality trends.
• Manage and maintain Control Plans, inspection checklists, and quality records in accordance with IATF 16949 and OEM requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits, including customer audits, focusing on inspection results, defect tracking, and compliance with automotive standards.
• Participate in material and component evaluation for new projects, ensuring manufacturing feasibility and quality criteria are met.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inspection methods, defect reduction, and overall product quality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing quality within an industrial or automotive environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for quality records, inspection data management, and production reporting.
• Prior experience with Tier1 OEM suppliers of interior automotive components is a plus.
