Job Description:
Hooper Welding Enterprises Ltd. (H.E.V.I. – Hooper Welding Hamilton Facility) is seeking Quality Control Technician for 405 Eastport Blvd., Hamilton ON L8P 7S3 Canada. There is 1 position available.
Main duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of the other quality control team of technicians.
• Develop welding-related manufacturing and processing procedures and variables, set machine or equipment controls, oversee production and inspect processes.
• Conduct work measurement or other studies
• Collect and compile operational or experimental data and assist in the development of estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
• Collect and analyze data and samples in support of quality assurance and industrial health and safety programs
• Implement and monitor inspection plan and to ensure all inspection requirements are met
• Monitor WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)/ PQR (Procedure Qualification Record)/ WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification)
Hours of work are 40 hours a week Mon-Fri (overtime pay after 44 hours). Pay is $42.00 per hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Completion of at least one year college program is an asset. Minimum work experience is 4 years hands on experience.
