Quality Control - Inspection Technician
Location: New Port Richey, FL |
Contract | OT Available
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and prepare AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR) packages.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and quality requirements.
• Select/set up gages and perform manual bench-top inspections.
• Operate CMM and computer-based inspection equipment; programming experience is a plus.
• Identify, segregate, document, and help resolve non-conforming materials and gaging issues.
• Compile, review, enter, and report technical data accurately.
• Work with PPAP/MSA/MRL processes, inspection plans, metrics, and quality documentation.
• Regularly use Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Collaborate with project leads, peers, customers, and global teams in a procedure-driven/regulatory environment.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years relevant experience with an AS/technical degree preferred, or 8+ years without a technical degree.
• AS9102 FAI experience and strong inspection/GD&T knowledge.
• CMM/inspection equipment experience.
• DQR, CQT, or CQE certification is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, accuracy, integrity, and customer-service mindset.
• Must pass required eye exam and be comfortable with PPE, walking/standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
