Quality Assurance Technician (Spanish Bilingual)
Shift: 2nd Shift (Training will be done during 1st shift until completion)
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Quality Assurance Technician must be knowledgeable in ISO Quality Management Systems and in the application of the standard to our business processes. This role will require overseeing Quality Control and supplemental organizational requirements for the Production and Services building.
Adherence to ISO 9001:2015 requirements and organization requirements is required.
Adherence to local safety rules including the use of PPE and anti-slip footwear is required.
Actual Job Duties –Essential Functions
Responsibilities Include:
Monitoring, reviewing, and archiving inspection records, and choosing appropriate measures to communicate any findings
Authorizing, reviewing, maintaining, and facilitating authorized material returns from all customers including logs and system transactions related to the returns
Managing all equipment & tools including retaining historical data on tools/equipment
Creating, maintaining, communicating, and reviewing KPI data for all QMS and work center processes
Reviewing work center efficiencies and reporting to production
Reviewing, maintaining, dispositioning, and reporting of materials during Material Review Board Meetings
Generating and maintaining rework work orders based on dispositioning
Reviewing all the work center processes and facilitating any concerns or questions with the Quality Dept.
Conducting in-process and final inspection audits to verify conformity of products
Assisting in corrective actions, customer complaints, and continuous improvement measures
Responsible for FAIRS/FPE/PPAP & Products FEMAs
Creating, maintaining, and facilitating the documentation of communications, including QMS documentation such as procedure forms, work instruction and organizational knowledge
Ensuring products/service meets customer requirements
Handling customer complaints and continuous improvement measures as needed
Ensuring products meet statutory and regulatory requirements where applicable and retaining documented information to the extent necessary to provide confidence that products are meeting those requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Education
High School Graduate or equivalent required
College Degree Preferred
At least 1-2 years’ experience in a related Quality Assurance field in manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position should have previous experience in Quality Assurance or in a related field.
Requires knowledge in ISO Quality Management Systems and knowledge of the application of the standard to our business processes
Must possess excellent interpersonal relations and written/oral communication skills to communicate with both internal contacts in the organization and external contacts, including internal staff.
Must have excellent reasoning skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Must be a self- starter.
Must have excellent math skills.
Must be able to use inspection skills & accurately measure parts
Must be able to read and understand blueprint drawings
Well organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to gather, interpret and proactively act on data with minimal supervision.
Must be able to demonstrate and have a good working knowledge of the Company in-house system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook and other software programs as required.
Ability to manage time efficiently
High sense of urgency with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment anticipating and adjusting to challenges.
Able to follow directions, manage multiple tasks, and respond to urgent requests in a positive manner.
Physical Requirements
This position spends approximately 50% in the production environment and 50% at a desk working at a computer.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk in the course of their normal duties.
Must have hand and wrist coordination for data entry input.
Must have good vision for close-up computer work.
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc.
Working Conditions
Office and warehouse environment.
Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30pm OR 3:30 pm to 12:00am (depending on assigned shift) with some overtime as required.
