Position Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: 75 New Hampshire Avenue, Ste. 300, Portsmouth, NH 03801
Position Responsibilities: Develop high quality standards in how work items are written, coded, and validated. Increase knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process and procedure. Participate in analyzing and reporting key quality metrics including lack of test cases, escaped defects, customer escalations, etc. Provide recommendations to improve test coverage and product quality to ultimately improve the quality metrics. Follow SAFe principles and best practices. Act as an advocate for improving testing methodologies. Ensure that NFR’s are appropriately addressed and/or tested. Understand how users or partners interact with the system and software, translate business requirements into user interactions, provide feedback to the UX team to ensure a great user experience. Increase product knowledge to fully understand system-level functionality including cross-product integrations. Identify areas of risk by analyzing requirements, design patterns, acceptance criteria, source code, software deployments, etc. and providing guidance to team members on how to test for or otherwise mitigate these risks. Participate in the review and sizing of work items to ensure they have comprehensive Descriptions and Acceptance Criteria.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR a related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Java; MySQL; Bitbucket; Jira; Confluence; SoapUI; Selenium; TestNG, and; TestRail. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s PLUS five (5) years of described experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Multiple positions available.
