Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Assistant to support the development of our quality and food safety
systems at our Portland, Indiana site.
This is a hands-on, field-oriented role with a central focus on incoming and outgoing product
inspection, site compliance, and the progressive implementation of processes in preparation for
FSSC 22000 certification.
Key responsibilities include:
? Checking the conformity of incoming and outgoing product
? Verifying quality criteria for inbound lots and outbound shipments
? Supporting quality documentation and traceability records
? Assisting with site compliance, operational practices, and recordkeeping
? Helping implement quality procedures and process controls
? Supporting site preparation for FSSC 22000 certification
? Monitoring quality, food safety, and compliance indicators
? Verifying that control, cleaning, maintenance, and quality records are properly completed
? Supporting non-conformance follow-up and corrective actions
? Working closely with production, shipping, logistics, and management teams
? Helping maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Profile We’re Looking For
? Organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on
? Strong interest in quality, food safety, and compliance
? Experience in food production, grain handling, or an industrial environment is a plus
? Comfortable following procedures and working with daily control records
? Able to work closely with production and logistics teams
? Practical, proactive, and reliable mindset
? HACCP / FSSC 22000 knowledge is a plus, but not required
? French is a plus
