Python Developer Job

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our growing engineering team.

The mirror image of the research role. Where the work of a researcher tolerates a measure of ambiguity, the work of a developer has to be fast, predictable, and boring in the best possible sense. When someone runs a search you have built, the API answers in milliseconds, every single time.

What you'll be working on:

• Building and maintaining backend APIs behind search and report delivery
• Keeping response times tight under real production load
• Turning data pipelines into reliable user-facing products
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborating with data and product teams to deliver scalable solutions

Requirements:

• Around 3 years of production Python experience
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI and asynchronous services
• Experience with concurrency and API design
• Excellent understanding of Pydantic and schema validation
• Advanced Django skills, including ORM and admin customization
• Ability to write maintainable, scalable code

Nice to have:

• Experience deploying and monitoring production services
• Familiarity with logging, metrics, and performance optimization
• Experience serving ML or data models through APIs
