Purchasing Specialist Job

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to the following:
• Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials and components to support power transformer manufacturing operations.
• Develop sourcing strategies to enhance cost efficiency, quality compliance, and supply continuity.
• Conduct supplier negotiations regarding pricing, contract terms, delivery schedules, and logistics arrangements.
• Review and validate Bills of Materials (BoMs) and manage material requirements based on engineering changes and production forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material planning activities to minimize shortages and excess stock.
• Analyze purchasing data and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Utilize ERP systems to ensure accurate purchasing transactions, material tracking, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for purchasing transactions, material requirement processing, and inventory monitoring in support of procurement activities.
• Solid understanding of Bills of Materials (BoMs), production planning interfaces, and material requirement processes.
• Ability to analyze purchasing data and supplier performance to support cost efficiency and supply continuity.
