Purchasing Officer

Euro Vinyl Windows & Doors Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality vinyl windows and doors, is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure timely availability of materials to support production and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase materials, supplies, equipment, and services required for production and operations.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
• Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material requirements and plan purchases accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and procurement regulations.
• Resolve supply issues and follow up on delayed or defective orders.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving

Compensation and conditions:

• Full-time, permanent position consisting of at least 35 weekly work hours
• The remuneration will be set at CAD$38.46 per hour
• Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
• Health benefits, including dental and general health care plans, are provided.
