ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $33.00 per hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Printing Company
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create purchase orders accurately based on inventory levels, production schedules and demand which involves maintain accurate record of orders, deliveries, and invoices.
• Research and identify potential suppliers for various materials required in the printing process, such as paper, ink, toner, printing plates, packaging materials and other materials.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and cost-effective purchasing.
• Ensure the purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications required for the printing process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the suppliers to foster cooperation, resolve issues promptly and improve services.
• Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements relevant to printing materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments within the printing company to coordinate purchasing activities and address any cross-functional requirements.
• Train and supervise new team members in purchasing about the policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, economics or commerce is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year to 2 years of experience in related position is preferred.
• Ability to supervise 3 to 4 people.
• Effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
• Experience working with MS Office, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows is an asset.
• May be physically demanding; involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking; standing for extended periods; Walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Able to work independently and in a team, flexible, good time management, organizational and Interpersonal Skills.
