Purchasing managers Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies for our painting and exterior renovation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all purchases align with project budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for painting materials, construction supplies, and equipment.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance.
Manage inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of necessary materials.
Review and process purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry developments to optimize purchasing decisions.
Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to align procurement with project needs.
Ensure that all purchased materials meet quality and safety standards.
Track orders, manage logistics, and resolve supply chain issues as needed.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.

Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Officer, or in a similar role within the construction, painting, or renovation industry.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Knowledge of construction materials, coatings, and outdoor renovation supplies.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with supply chain management and inventory control principles.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in vendor relationship management and cost control.
