Job Description:
Canlob International Co. (10686140 Canada Inc.) is a seafood distributor and exporter. Our fresh and high-quality seafood products are provided to local restaurants and supermarkets and overseas customers. We always ensure that our products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.
The Purchasing Manager role will be focused on organizing and managing the activities of our purchasing department.

Education and Work Experience Requirements
• Completion of college diploma
• Five years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or other relevant management occupations
Responsibilities
• Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of the purchasing department
• Participate in meetings with the upper management to discuss and develop purchasing strategies, supplier management and department budgets
• Develop and implement purchasing instructions, policies and procedures
• Review and monitor purchases to ensure compliance with department policies and reduce work errors
• Research, evaluate and investigate suppliers to ensure reliable purchases and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and obtain beneficial purchasing terms and conditions
• Communicate with suppliers on quality issues, wrong products and delivery problems
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking and ensure fresh seafood products
• Prepare department and management reports
• Hire, train and supervise purchasing employees
