About Us
BAYSTONE, operated by Eastbay Trading (Canada) Ltd., is a Calgary, AB based quartz wholesaler in Canada. We are importing quartz artificial polished slabs for residential renovation and commercial construction. The sheets of quartz are fully prepared and ready for fabricators to do final cutting locally. Our 10,000 square-foot warehouse, located in Foothills industry area, is easy to get access to Glenmore Trail and 52rd Street. The back shop has capability of 2,000 full slab sheets in stock and the spacious showroom has 32”x24” sample pieces for all models we have. As a Calgary-based distributor, we are not only selling quartz sheets but also offering professional customer services, including but not limited to colour-selection advice, punctual delivery and timely after-sales services. We are tightly touching base with manufacturer as well as freight company to guarantee each single tracking information for our valuable clients.

Responsibilities
-Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for the procurement of quartz slabs and related materials.
-Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
-Place orders for quartz slabs and other necessary materials while considering inventory levels and production needs.
-Maintain optimal inventory levels, track stock levels, and manage reorder points to avoid shortages and overstock situations.
-Ensure that all materials purchased meet quality standards and specifications by working closely with suppliers and conducting quality checks when necessary.
-Analyze pricing structures and cost factors to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction strategies.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration, resolve issues, and ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
-Oversee supplier contracts, including terms, conditions, and performance metrics, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
-Develop and manage the purchasing department budget, tracking expenditures and controlling costs effectively.

Qualifications
-Diploma in business administration or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
-3 years of related experience required
