Purchasing Manager Job

A Purchasing Manager is needed in Auburn, Alabama.

• Manage overall purchasing activities of various materials for manufacturing of automotive parts including suspension modules, fuel tank modules, pedal modules, and eco modules.
• Direct negotiation with vendors in purchasing of raw materials, equipment, or supplies, and direct interview process to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Evaluate price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable bidding prices.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies and procedures to coordinate overall purchasing activities.
• Direct preparation of financial documents illustrating purchasing costs and trends to forecast future revenues and expenses to ensure maximum profitability.
• Review and authorize various documentation regarding purchasing activities, such as purchase orders, supplier contracts, invoice, memos, quotations, specifications, schedules, to convey information regarding the procurement activities.
• Review and finalize all purchasing orders and contracts to ensure conformance to policies and standards.
• Build and manage strong and positive long-term business relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration and 2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
