Purchasing Manager AL Job

Coordinate with key contacts for inventory management to maintain undated information of parts needed. Determine Purchase Order on basis of the sales forecast and the stock level.
Check PR/PO/GR in SAP (Monthly AP Closing included) system and communicate with controller at parent company. Monitor and track the progress of PO from creation to delivery.
Review goods receipts, article creation and modification, system flow management, and other transactions in SAP. Follow payments and discuss financial issues. Evaluate out of stock andrisk management with the concerned services (quality, export service, packaging, marketing). Draft reports of annual expenditures and savings in line with business plans. Supervise
suppliers’ performance in lead-time, reactivity, reliability, and flexibility. Participate in inland and overseas transport optimization efforts to reduce cost. Manage and organize purchasing
tasks by types of suppliers to fit the materials’ properties. Maintain close relationship with suppliers in respective domain, such as machine parts management, lead-time, expedition, and
reception. Manage supplier issues including logistics issues that arise. Act as key contact for respective suppliers. Build strong collaborative network with other supply chain service
providers to obtain information and to synchronize process. Adhere to the internal policies and procedures of Sungwon Alabama and the parent company and perform other duties and
special projects, as assigned by management.

Bachelor or foreign equivalent degree in International Trading, Business Administration, or a related field and 2 years of relevant work experience in purchasing and supplying automotive parts and materials. Experience must include the following: initiate cost saving actions for purchasing
department, negotiate material prices with suppliers, record purchasing activities, and monitor the purchase process through optimized practices and utilize SAP system. Up to 100% domestic travel required to client sites.
