We are a Canadian manufacturer committed to superior workmanship and technical expertise. We source and distribute quality components and materials from leading global suppliers.
ABOUT VACANCY
At this time, we are looking for a Purchasing Agent to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing purchasing activities and maintaining positive supplier relations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assess the requirements for materials, supplies and equipment to be purchased, estimate budgets for purchases
• Purchase materials, supplies and equipment essential for the company’s day-to-day operations
• Research supply markets, potential suppliers and establish new market niches
• Review and analyze quotations and negotiate the best deals with suppliers
• Place and track orders, coordinate delivery schedules, monitor progress, and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on purchasing targets, orders and costs
• Provide purchasing suggestions to improve the processes
• Maintain excellent relationship with suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of secondary school
• Minimum 3 years of previous purchasing experience
• Fluent English
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
WORK CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position
- $36.10 per hour
- 40 hours of work per week
- Occasional overtime may be required with applicable pay ($54.15/ hour) after 44 hours of work per week
- Work location: 50 Hollinger Road, East York, Ontario M4B 3G5
