The Purchaser position supports daily import and export operations by maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely procurement of quality products from domestic and international suppliers.
Job Duties:
1.Purchase food products, fresh produce, kitchenware, and related goods for resale and distribution.
2.Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, product availability, and delivery schedules.
3.Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and purchasing agreements with domestic and overseas suppliers.
4.Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
5.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to maintain adequate stock while minimizing shortages and overstock situations.
6.Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal departments regarding orders, shipping schedules, and delivery status.
7.Track shipments and resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies.
8.Research market trends, product availability, and pricing fluctuations within the food import/export industry.
9.Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, invoices, and inventory reports.
10.Ensure purchased products comply with company standards, import regulations, food safety requirements, and applicable government regulations.
11.Assist management in developing sourcing strategies and identifying new suppliers and product opportunities.
12.Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams regarding customer demand forecasts and inventory planning.

Job Requirements:
1.Completion of a college diploma or above in business administration, supply chain management, commerce, international trade, or a related field is required.
2.1 - 2 years of previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, logistics, or international trade.
3.Knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and supplier coordination is highly preferred.
4.Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
5.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inventory or purchasing software.
6.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
2.1 - 2 years of previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, logistics, or international trade.
3.Knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and supplier coordination is highly preferred.
4.Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
