We are currently seeking 1 talented and experienced purchaser to join our team.

Duties
1.Supplier Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials and ingredients.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with suppliers.

2.Procurement Planning:
Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to understand material requirements and inventory levels.
Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company goals and budget constraints.
Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to optimize procurement decisions.

3.Order Management:
Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Track order deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

4.Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all purchased materials meet the company’s quality standards and comply with Health Canada regulations.
Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and product quality, addressing any issues as necessary.

5.Cost Control:
Monitor and analyze procurement costs, implementing strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.

6.Inventory Management:
Collaborate with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
Assist in forecasting future material needs based on production schedules and market demand.

7.Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure alignment and support overall company objectives.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights on supplier performance and procurement strategies.

Job Requirements:
Years of Experience Required: Experience an Asset；
Preference will be given to candidates with over two years of purchasing experience in the biotechnology industry;
Familiarity with suppliers of hydrolyzed collagen peptides in Canada, the United States, and China is also preferred;

Start Date: as soon as possible;
Position Type: Full-Time Permanent;
Education Required: At least Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
