Job Description:
Punjabi News Reporter - Fresno, CA
• Coordinate and serve as an anchor on news broadcast programs specifically for Punjabi community.
• Plan, write, edit, and voice news broadcasts on Radio as well as regional casts.
• Maintain crucial deadlines in order to provide news stories in a timely fashion
• Prepare and execute radio broadcasts live from location.
• Work closely with the station's News Director to create and execute daily station assignments.
• Review written, audio, or video copy, and correct errors in content, grammar, or punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.
• Develop ideas or material for columns or commentaries by analyzing and interpreting news, current issues, or personal experiences.
• Communicate with readers, viewers, advertisers, or the general public via mail, email, or telephone.
• Investigate breaking news developments, such as disasters, crimes, or regional stories.
• Establish the emphasis, duration, and structure of a published or broadcast piece, then arrange the content properly.
• Develop ideas or material for columns or commentaries by analyzing and interpreting news, current issues, or personal experiences
• Other similar duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Punjabi, Arts in East Asian Languages and culture or equivalent with 5 years experience as a News reporter, Program Host, Radio RJ, News Presenter, Narrator, Radio journalist or equivalent
Fluency in spoken and written Punjabi language is required.
Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, traing or experience. Experience to include: News production and composition, Broadcasting, Fluency in spoken and written Punjabi, Editing and Mixing.
