PT Board Operator/Weekend Voice Tracker Job

CUMULUS MEDIA | Saginaw, MI is offering a great opportunity as a PT Board Operator/Weekend Voice Tracker providing programming and control board support to On-Air Talent. Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires extreme reliability and flexibility. Who We Are:

CUMULUS | Saginaw, MI currently features 4 stations in the Saginaw-Bay City-Midland area and surrounding counties. Our stations include: WIOG-102.5 The Hit Music Channel, WKQZ-93.3 The Rock Station, WILZ-104.5 Classic Rock That Really Rocks, and WHNN-96.1 The Best Variety of Yesterday and Today. The cluster of 4 stations reaches thousands of listeners on a daily basis in Mid-Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce a compelling radio show by using creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air content


• Handles emergency news/weather in show


• Ensures logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired


• Performs additional duties such as airing recorded and live remote breaks.

Qualifications:

• Some college radio or small market radio experience required/preferred


• Previous board operation experience preferred


• Audio production skills required


• Familiar with FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines


• Proficient using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge, Nuendo, Adobe Audition or other audio editing and automation programs


• Knowledge of basic electronic wiring and sound system set-up


• Familiar with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio transmissions


• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of the hours are in the evenings, weekends and holidays
