Promotions Coordinator Job

CUMULUS MEDIA | (Minneapolis) is looking for an entry-level Promotions Coordinator to support on and off-air promotions and events. This position requires a high degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, time management, a personal disposition that works well with creative co-workers, and has a passion for radio. This position is in-office for majority of the work week and must be available to work select nights and weekends, as needed.

Who We Are:

CUMULUS | Minneapolis operates KQRS, 93X and LOVE 105 - Heritage Twin Cities radio stations reaching over 830,000 people a week in the Twin Cities metro.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and fulfill prizing for promotional contests across all three local stations


• Execute station events, including packing, vehicle readiness and post-event recaps


• Work with Promotions Director to complete aspects of contests, including writing promotional copy, developing contest rules, and distributing prizes


• Manage and maintain department equipment and prize inventory


• Fulfill online store orders and manage merchandise inventory for all three local stations


• Attend and run station events, as needed, including the Minnesota State Fair, listener trips and promotional appearances


• Manage customer service efforts and effectively communicate with station listeners, including communication with contest winners and general inquiries

Qualifications:

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Experience with vCreative, Text Groove and Wide Orbit a plus.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing


• Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels


• Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines


• Must possess valid state driver's license


• Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed


• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and manage physical demands, such as packing and moving equipment
