Duties:
MVI – MultiVision requires a Project Manager to ensure the successful sale of Light Emitting Diode (LED) video display and processing equipment to the satisfaction of new and existing customers.
• Working with Operations or other Project Managers, make all necessary information and resources available to Team members or contractors
• If assigned the “lead” role on a project:
o Make contact with customers within 24 hours of receiving an order and ensure they have your direct phone number, mobile number and email address
o As necessary, attend preliminary meetings with, or without, other sales personnel to ensure a complete understanding of the project by assessing the clients’ needs
o Where appropriate, make recommendations regarding the selection of appropriate video display and processing equipment and related installation/set-up services that will ensure optimum results
o Negotiate prices and other sales terms and notify (verbal and written) sales of any changes that will affect the billing of the project.
o Prepare and administer sales contracts.
o Notify (verbal and written) other team members of specialized requirements (such as Programming) in a timely manner
o Alert sales and/or management of any critical conflicts
o Develop or assist in the development of Critical Path for projects using technical product knowledge in DVLED to explain technical features and operational benefits to clients and answering questions about DVLED equipment and the variety of creative applications.
o Provide input into products’ design and installation where equipment must be tailored to suit the needs of clients.
• In conjunction with the team, plan and communicate your schedule to align with other suppliers and contractors, and where necessary, course equipment/personnel needed to meet project requirements.
o Ensure availability of equipment and delivery to sites as and when needed
• When directed to book contract labour for multiple day/show project – prepare written agreement relating to performance expectations, reporting procedure/structure, and rate of pay
• Ensure that all staff and/or contractors are properly instructed in the requirements, timing and location of the project and have necessary accreditation and documentation prepared for them to do their job.
o Ensure the presence of labour where and when needed
• Where applicable, negotiate cross rental rates and labour rates to optimize profitability
• Troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment and ensure that equipment required is in good working condition before shipping to site. Ensure that appropriate backup equipment, cables and other accessories are included in each kit.
• Notify and coordinate Service of any equipment not in proper operating condition, (before, during, and after project) tag faulty equipment with details, and follow up.
• Prepare necessary documents or coordinate with Team member - the Shipper/Receiver role, to ensure that the safest and most cost-effective means of transport to and from site is obtained.
• Ensure that equipment details and other project particulars are communicated in sufficient time to allow for the preparation of necessary manifests and delivery to site.
• Using MVI’s IE system, maintain records of equipment shipped and follow through to ensure that all equipment is returned at the completion of the project. Verify that equipment returned is in good condition.
• Notify (verbal and written) Management of serious damages in a timely manner so that appropriate action can be taken to recover costs, secure replacements or arrange for repair.
• Notify Management immediately in the event of any altercation, accident, or incident that may result in conflict with a customer, or legal proceedings against the firm or one of our employees or contractors.
• Report (verbal and written) performance deficiencies of Team members or contract labour to Management.
• In conjunction with Operations, Management and Sales, estimate costs of installing and maintaining DVLED equipment and monitor project costs on a regular basis. You may be asked to approve invoices related to project costs. Ensure invoices and other accounting documents are submitted in a timely manner.
• May offer training in the operation of equipment.
• As Project Manager, upon completion of project, write post-project report, with copies to Operations, Sales and Project File for review/future reference. Prepare notes/critique/suggestions and coordinate any key contractors to be available for post project review meeting.
• Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.
• In conjunction with the Team, schedule quarterly inventory counts to ensure that quantities and types agree with the current Rental Equipment Inventory List. Notify (verbal and written) Management of errors, omissions, and other irregularities.
• In conjunction with the Team, plan and implement ongoing maintenance and upgrades of equipment.
• Communicate costing/budget implications to Management.
• In conjunction with Team members, ensure that vans and trucks used in the rental business are properly maintained.
• In association with Sales personnel, recommend additions (in writing) to Management of rental stock that will contribute either to increased revenues or decreased costs, or which may be needed to improve performance.
• Develop sales presentations, proposals, and other materials to illustrate benefits from use of MVI - MultiVision’s goods and services.
• Perform those responsibilities that may be directed by Management from time to time and may supervise the activities of other technical staff and sales specialists.
• As time permits following other duties, research and submit written request to Management for training courses, trade shows, and seminars that may be beneficial to you or other Team members. These requests will be reviewed occasionally, and Management will select Team members for participation in these events.
• Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients and identify and solicit potential new clients.
• Assess MVI – MultiVision’s competitors and market conditions to develop an awareness of emerging trends.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related technical sales, integration, and staging experience with Direct View Light Emitting Diode (DV-LED) technology and related video equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of current video display and audio-video technologies, disciplines, and applications, including DV-LED processing (Novastar and Brompton).
• Possess necessary industry training certificates including but not limited to: Working at Heights, Mobile Elevating Work Platform, Lift Truck.
• Knowledge and experience working with IntelliEvent rental management software.
• Knowledge of competitors and competitive technology.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees, managers and external contacts effectively and professionally.
• Ability to travel domestically and abroad.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to define and implement plans to accomplish objectives in timely manner.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
