RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Director is responsible for administration and management of the facility, including the safety and protection of the children, implementation of policies and procedures, and compliance with the regulations set forth in Pennsylvania Code Chapter 3800 – Child Residential and Day Treatment Facilities and other applicable Federal, state and local statutes and regulations.
The Program Director is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the People R’Us facility. He or she will meet regularly with the Executive Director to report on operations, discuss achievements and problem areas, and accept policy direction where appropriate.
The Program Director will prepare written reports of all operations at least quarterly. Together with the Executive Director, the Program Director will present reports to the Board of Directors.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Developing and administering the analysis of training needs of staff
• Convening and facilitating staff meetings, case consultations, and special therapeutic activities.
• Preparing annual performance evaluations of Medical Team, Counselor Supervisor, Residence Supervisor, and Administrative Assistant
• Recommending revisions of policies and procedures and implements program changes
• Review and audit of all documentation, census reports and files on a weekly basis
• Preparing for and conducting audits for funding agencies and for other program management requirements
• Representing the program when responding to public and community inquiries and at all agency activities
• Ensuring coordination of all program components and compliance with requirements of funding sources
• Development and maintenance of marketing contacts with outside agencies and referral sources
• Responsibility for the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, discipline and maintenance of adequate staffing coverage for the program
• Implementation of the continuous quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with same
• Attending functions and/or meetings as required for effective program operation and supervision
• Maintaining all program components within budgetary guidelines
• Completing annual in-service training requirement)

Job Requirements:
The Program Director shall have the following:
• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education, or a clinical specialty in human services) and 2 years work experience in a human series agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, which includes supervision, direct service, and program planning
Persons in this position must maintain licenses in good standing, if applicable.
All candidates must pass a Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal Record search, and FBI criminal history clearance.
All staff will be required to participate in prescribed annual training.
