2852260 ONTARIO INC O/A Alora Bedding has immediate opening for a Production Supervisor (TEER 2: 92024) at our location in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Production Supervisor, you will perform some or all of the following duties:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees engaged in cutting fabrics, sewing covers, assembling bedding components, filling, finishing, and packaging of mattress and related products.
• Develop daily and weekly production schedules, assign tasks based on workflow priorities, and coordinate with inventory, maintenance, and shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor production processes and product quality at various stages, identify inefficiencies or defects, and implement corrective measures to improve output and reduce waste.
• Ensure continuous availability of raw materials such as fabrics, foam, and filling materials by coordinating with procurement and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Train and mentor employees on standard operating procedures, safe equipment handling, and company quality standards to maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of production staff, and provide recommendations on employee performance, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare and review production reports, including output volumes, labor utilization, downtime, and quality control results, and report findings to senior management.
• Support the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of production equipment, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Previous experience in the same field, in same work settings is required.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 36.00/hour
