Work hours: Part time – Flexible – Mon to Fri working days

Lunch hour(unpaid): Time vary but entitled for lunch

1. Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s) : All equipment to be provided by the stylist. This includes all tools of the trade and products. The only exception to this will be specific products for individuals per doctor’s orders. These items will be provided by the facility.

2. Computer software to be used : no

3. Interview Mode In person to show the work area and Q & A in regard to Clients.

4. Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience Knowledge of the problems involved in the cutting and styling of hair. Knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of haircutting and styling tools, materials and equipment. Knowledge of relevant sanitation requirements and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control and shelf life expectancies of shop/parlor supplies, tools and equipment after a period of training.

5. Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Possession of a valid license as a Cosmetologist-Hairstylist, issued by the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.

6. Desired skills: Ability to work with individuals with varied levels of physical and intellectual abilities in a supportive and respectful manner while providing quality services to enhance their lives.

Ability to cut, trim, wash, comb and style hair. Be able to inspect and examine hair, skin and scalp for disease and maintain, clean and sterilize all instruments.

7. Duties/Responsibilities: • Cuts, trims, washes, combs and styles hair.

• Inspects and examines hair, skin and scalp for disease.

• Maintains all instruments and cleans/sterilizes all instruments and tools in accordance with State regulations. Follows established procedures to promote public health and prevent the spreading of disease.

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

• Provides, stores and safeguards equipment and materials.

• Reports any issues right away.

• Observes at all times the provisions of the Patients’ Bill of Rights.

• Completes documentation for provided services

• Provide basic routine haircare to clients of Green Brook Regional Center on an as needed basis. Maintain all tools and instruments per regulations and report any issues immediately.
