Role Summary: As Production & Quality Control Manager, you will be overseeing all aspects of production, assembly, and quality control at Maxel Manufacturing. This leadership role ensures the efficient coordination of operations, adherence to safety and quality standards and continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.
Duties:
? Overseeing and directing facility production activities, ensuring smooth coordination between manufacturing, assembly, and testing departments
? Managing and mentoring production staff, providing guidance, and performance feedback
? Providing and overseeing training for production employees
? Advising on its creation and overseeing the departmental budget
? Overseeing and developing quality control procedures using precision measuring tools, gauges, and CMM technology (Calypso Software) on the Zeiss Spectrum CMM machine
? Developing and implementing operational plans to efficiently allocate material, labour and components needed for production machinery for oil and gas pipeline inspection equipment, in order to achieve production targets
? Developing production workflows and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet client specifications
? Managing the assembly of custom-manufactured components for oil and gas pipeline inspection equipment
? Developing equipment maintenance schedules for precision measuring tools, gauges, Zeiss Spectrum CMM machine and other production machinery, and recommending replacement of said items, if needed
? Setting up and validating machinery and custom fixtures for part completion and calibration processes, as needed
? Identifying and resolving process inefficiencies, recommending and executing improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
? Overseeing calibration of sensors using Neodymium Magnets Technology and conducting small vessel pressure testing
? Strategizing and executing updates to Quality Control production machinery, tools, gauges and methods
? Developing and maintaining documentation and reporting systems to ensure traceability and compliance with internal and client standards
? Maintaining an inventory of tools, gauges and production machinery required for manufacturing of custom-manufactured components for oil and gas pipeline inspection equipment.
? Contributing to strategic planning, production targets, and quality assurance goals
Requirements:
? Secondary school is required
? 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing is required
? Experience providing supervision in production of specialized components for oil and gas pipeline inspection equipment is required
? Experience working in the assembly and sub-assembly of components related to oil and gas pipeline inspection equipment is required
? Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
? Ability to work independently and in a team environment
? Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
