Production Husbandry Team Member Job

The Bug Company is excited to announce a vacancy for the position of Production Team Member. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team in this hands-on role. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with insects, contributing to their care, breeding, and general welfare.

This full-time position is based at our facility and requires the candidate to be on-site; hence, it is not a remote job. If you have a passion for insects and/or animals, we encourage you to apply.

-Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment is crucial for the health and welfare of the insects.
-Ability to prepare necessary materials and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
-Efficient in working both independently and as a team member, with strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues.
-Professional demeanor and a friendly attitude towards co-workers and other staff within the facility.
-Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management, adaptable to changing needs and conditions.
-A willingness to adhere to all company guidelines and procedures, consistently aiming for the highest industry practices.
-Ability to work in a dusty, hot, and humid environment, and withstand physically demanding tasks.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs frequently and engage in frequent standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and carrying.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them in high-pressure situations.
-Fluency in English with the ability to understand and communicate instructions effectively.
-Basic mathematical skills, including counting to 100.
-Skilled in the use of tools like box cutters and tape guns for preparation and packaging tasks.
-Must be able to work directly with and handle live insects without hesitation.
